29 V Concept No. 2

29A- Venture Concept No. 2

Opportunity:
-Parking lots on campus are often crowded and packed, leading to dangerous conditions for commuters.
-Students commuting themselves, especially on scooters, has increased significantly in the last 15 years, with little compensation.
-Due to the small area and busy schedules of individuals involved, a magnitude of effects come from this issue which could be resolved.
-So far, nobody has put together a solution for this issue and instead, a decal system and small improvements were made throughout the years.
-Potential customers would be anyone interested in this concept which involves students, administrators, and faculty who commute to campus daily. The idea would also reach other universities where parking affects students.
-I have a strong system behind me that will continue to improve the concept and provide support towards any aspect of the venture.
Innovation:
-To appeal to individuals with the need, I would begin a campaign to boost popularity over the idea. With more people involved, the concept can reach deeper.
-To appeal to the universities, a proposal for new lots in appropriate spaces, build on, and representation of support would be provided for consideration from them.
-The ability of the concept to be able to adapt to any situation, thanks to the system behind me and the following that is involved.
Venture Concept:
-Student life will improve due to less stress for them on a daily basis. When parking causes someone to be late, an entire day could be ruined.
-less negative energy towards university would exist because, well, there would be less negativity.
-Avoid vehicle damage- everyday vehicles get damaged on campus, whether it’s one of the packed lots or a tiny space that you are trying to fit in.
-Safety is a big issue, especially in scooter parking lots. Having a clear lane and line of sight is crucial to having safe roads for the many scooter riders.
-Safer and more organized parking for universities or complexes around the world.
Price points:
-The concept varies with each location so the price would be estimated for each project.
Distribution:
-I would begin by hosting stands on campus to raise awareness of the issue, and with the interviews alreay conducted, I have a team interested in helping me out.
-Making a mark on the administration to which I am proposing to is important, so a solid foundation must be set before I get there.
Location:
-All over campus, especially the main campus in Gainesville. Since the opportunity has shown to exist in other places, it would go a step further.
-Anywhere parking lots need improvements for safety of efficiency.
Employees:
The team of passionate people I have behind me consist of people who have been affected in a way that makes them want to improve. These people don’t want to see the parking blues get to any more people and are pushing to prevent it.
-The plan involved would be a collaborative effort between school officials and myself, or whoever else is involved in creating a concept.
Unfair advantage:
-My ventures unfair advantage is that it is local to this area, and a top interest regarding campus improvements for most people. My concept also has strong backing consisting of a group of people attempting to push the idea forward and to the right people.
-Having a support group behind me both for the sake of improvements, and personal will aid my concept in success.
What’s next:
-I want to end this aspect of campus negativity. Many students suffer from this everday whether its stress related, vehicle related, or health related. Everyone could benefit from a better parking system and more spaces.
-Making everyday campus life safer is also a big deal and could make any school the safest to commute to, and when picking schools, who knows what it will come down to.
For me:
-I would like to solve more issues regarding our campus and strive to make us the #1 university. With someone driven by student needs, a huge change could come helping students.
-Making schools safer in any way is always a great thing but when that effect comes with more convenience instead of less it is admired by everybody.

From my reviews, I realized that a large part of my venture deals with having support from others, and a will to make these changes a reality. I was able to include those aspects in many sections of my concept. Through some deeper thought I also realized that the ability of the concept to adapt is unique too, although necessary for this concept. All in all, I believe universities across the map need improvements like these, and just need someone to push the idea, gain support to get noticed, and get the plan started.

  1. Having support is definitely a necessity for your venture concept- especially to get the university on board with your idea. Especially since you will need the approval from the top authority figures as well as the finances from them. I think this is a solid idea that you should continue to pursue!
