Assignment 28A – Exit Strategy
For my concept,
I would continue to propose ideas and plans similar to the ones I have directed
at our campus, to campuses with the same need. The need is a crucial one for
schools who value keeping students safe, having an easily accessible campus,
and want to present an organized environment for prospective students and
guests. I already have a few campuses that have the need that I found through
interviews, so I could pursue the market for years to come.
For this idea,
it doesn’t entail a product, but a plan to make campuses and parking safer,
while making the campus less chaotic and more accessible. It’s a small
contribution but it is needed everywhere due to the accidents that occur daily
on college campuses. I also found out that many administrators avoid spending
much time dealing with an issue like parking when there is already so much
going on, so it takes some popularity to be noticed, which I feel like I could
gain everywhere due to the wide networks of college students. Also, this isn’t
really something you can sell or pass on at this point, just a guy interested
in solving parking issues at universities with the need of someone to make the
move.
My exit
strategy is influenced by the endless possibilities of schools all over the
world with reports of high accident rates. If I could be successful at one
school, I could do it at almost any and therefore, so my exit strategy is to
ride it out until the end. I haven’t researched much, but I’m sure I could
spill over into providing these plans for new complexes as well. My solutions
I’ve planned to implement here, could be the foundation for a group that
improves accessibility to campuses worldwide.
I like your enthusiasm David. I have followed your parking issue from the very beginning and I am very confident that you can make this opportunity work. As you have done your research, you have made the appropriate connections and have found a market that needs your idea. I would say that riding this to the end is exactly the right thing to do! Keep it up!
